What’s more, you don’t need equipment like P90X and that means no weights, no bands and no chin-up bars. Instead, you only need a floor (preferably with a mat) and plenty of motivation. If you think you have what it takes to get in the best shape of your life with a boot camp style workout that is quick, to the point and that will test every ounce of will you’ve got, welcome to Shaun T.’s Insanity.

Is Insanity Worth It?

Insanity isn’t cheap, but you certainly won’t feel ripped off. That’s because Insanity is quite possibly the best home workout ever developed. Sure, many home workouts promise to get you ripped in a short amount of time. But Insanity guarantees results, and in only sixty days! But it’s not going to be easy.

Insanity is a grueling workout that will test your mental and physical capabilities. And that’ll become apparent within the first five minutes. From the moment you push play, you’ll be running, jumping, pushing, and doing all sorts of other movements, thanks to Shaun T.’s expert direction. Can you get though it? There’s only one way to find out. And remember, the results are guaranteed, so you have nothing to lose.

What Others Are Saying

Insanity has rave reviews, and for good reason. Insanity works if you follow through with it. If you go through the reviews, you’ll hear all kinds of personal experiences. Most people went through P90X first and decided to purchase Insanity in order to take their body and physical fitness to the next level. Most reviewers also love that there’s no equipment needed. You simply push play and bring your ‘A’ game. There’s not really much more to it.

You’ll also get an idea of just how tough Insanity can be. But what’s really great is to read about all the pounds and inches that have been lost thanks to this innovative workout. Sure, there are the occasional bad reviews. But it’s a good bet that the bad-review-writers just couldn’t get through the workout.

Insanity may not be for everyone. But if you want to test your will, if you want to get in the best shape of your life and you want to do it as quickly as possible, Shaun T.’s Insanity is just what the doctor ordered.

Is the insanity workout safe for women?

One may ask himself or herself, what is insanity? Insanity is a workout that involves extrenous activities and practices all brought together for different kind of goals. One may practise insanity workout for weight loss, burning calories, extra muscle build up and also for the general good health of the body. Insanity work outs involves one doing extrenous activities for a during of time like 4 minutes continously but having a break for a much lesser time, lets say for 30 seconds. Insanity work uts are very popular with athletes because they help them have stamina. Insanity work out involves one pushing his or her body to the maximum limit it can go. The more you push your body to the limit, the more you feel like going on further.

Insanity Women reviewsAccording to me, insanity works outs are best suited for women. For many years women the victims weight gain, poor health and unfitness due to less practice exercises they pertake. I am not disciminating any gender but research has shown that 7 of 10 women are not comfortable with their weight and they would like to reduce their body weight. The remaining 3 percent of women would like to retain their weight or increase their weight. Let me further convince you why women need insanity work outs than men. Women need to be very healthy when they are planning to get a baby. A woman who is not healthy will generate a lot of complications when giving birth. Unhealthy pregnant women are at riskof developing high bood pressure and heart attack. This will obviously endanger the life of the mother and the life of the child. A pregnant woman is recommended to do some exercises which should not be extrenous as extrenous exercises can increase the risk of miscarriage.

I recommend women to practice insanity work outs are they help kep their bodies in good shapes. There are misunderstandings that insanity work outs are for those women who would like to be model, at some degree this statement is true but i can not agree with it wholly because insanity work outs are designed for physical fitness of the human body. Again and again research have shown that women who have regular insanity works enjoy a wide variety of health benefits. Some of the benefits that women are;improved mental health, reduced back pains and arthritis, reduced risk of diabetes.

Studies have shown that women who have regular insanity workouts usually have good attitude towards dealing with life difficulties. Women hwho have work outs are also able to manage stress more better than those who don’t.

Insanity Vs. P90X-Which One is Tougher?

On one side you have Shaun T and his Insanity crew, leaping and lunging and sweating and doing football drills non-stop in their basketball gym. On the other side you have Tony Horton and his test group, drilling each muscle group at a brutal rate, practicing kempo and yoga, lifting weights and doing pull ups. Both are billed as extreme, both are said to be the most intense work out ever put on DVD-but which is really the toughest? If you want the ultimate challenge, which should you do?

First let’s try to define by what we mean when we say the ‘toughest’. For the sake of this article, we’re going to define it as requiring the most physical preparation beforehand, the most willpower and dedication to complete the entirety of the program, and the highest sustained intensity during the workout itself. Some disclaimers: different people might find each of these workouts easier or harder depending on their own strengths. So while Insanity might be incredibly hard for a weight lifter, it will be easier for someone in track and field. Keep that in mind!

Let’s take a look at each program. P90X is a three month program. It’s designed to be implemented in three phases, with the end of each phase/month involving a cool down week during which your body is meant to recover from the ‘muscle confusion’ that the change in workouts is meant to deliver. There are 12 workouts, and they range from resistance workouts for the major muscle groups to cardio/plyometrics to kempo/yoga/stretching and core. It’s a total body workout, and is meant to be practiced six days a week. The workouts can range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, and require that you own weights, resistance bands and/or a pull up bar.

Insanity is simpler. Designed to be accomplished in 60 days, it’s broken into two main phases, with the second being the ‘MAX’ phase where the workouts become even more intense and an intermediary week in-between where you focus on Core Cardio and Balance for 6 days in a row, a period Shaun T calls ‘Recovery Week’. The workouts are a combination of cardio, plyometrics, calisthenics and different sports drills. There are 10 workouts, and they range from about 45 minutes to over an hour. No equipment is needed, since you use your own body weight throughout.

Which requires the greater physical preparation going in? Insanity. The Insanity workouts start at an incredibly intense pace, and don’t let up. Even the warm-ups are brutal, and if you don’t have that base line conditioning you simply won’t be able to keep up. Further, you need to ensure that your joints are resilient and flexible going in; if they’re not, the constant pounding that six days/week of jumping, squatting, jogging on the spot and more will simply wear them out. P90X is also incredibly tough, but the bar to enter isn’t as high; you can start in a lower state of preparation, and work your way up over the course of the three months.

Which requires the most will power to complete the entire program? P90X. Three months of sustained extreme effort is incredibly draining. Not only that, but most people find Insanity to be more of a rush; Shaun T is incredibly motivating, and the sheer pace of the program keeps people going on overdrive. Tony Horton breaks up the P90X pace with such slower, more grueling workouts like the hour and a half yoga. The longer, slower pace of P90X requires more willpower to adhere to than Insanity.

Finally, which has the most intense workouts? This one is a toss-up. Try getting through a Max Cardio session of Insanity, or keeping up with Tony during the entirety of a Chest & Back workout. Both of these are brutal, and your level of dedication and how hard you push yourself will determine how intense your workout is.

So which is tougher? For my money, I’d say Insanity. However, P90X is probably harder to complete, and both will kick your butt from here to Sunday if you do them right. In a way, this is like asking, which will kill you faster, a tiger or a lion? Determine what your goals are, and then pick the right program. For maximum cardio/calisthenics development, go for Insanity. If you’re looking to bulk up some as well as get in shape, go for P90X. Either way, good luck. You’re going to need it.

Insanity Asylum

People who have reached a point of insanity reveal certain abnormal behavior where they can be a danger to themselves as well as others. Referred to as having a screw lose, wackos, off their rocker, nutcases and lunatics,  the insane have little thought about anything and their actions are totally incomprehensible.  It is not surprising that many people would say that these sort of people belonged in a lunatic asylum, but today they are known as a psychiatric hospital or insanity asylum . Not so long ago the treatment of inmates in an insane asylum was brutal and inmates were all but caged. Modern psychiatric hospitals however attempt to assist patients to develop certain skills, to take control of their lives with the help of medicinal drugs and psychotherapy and to be re-integrated into society.
The Dark Underside of Asylums Revealed
Even though the treatments and facilities have changed dramatically over the years, some of the stigma attached to mentally ill people still exists.  Traumatic events from the past, the way a child is raised and the things they are exposed to as well as drugs can all cause the brain to snap.
Today an insanity asylum provides a safe place where people with mental illnesses can go who need full-time assistance and support. The asylums are very necessary because some of the people are so dangerous that the families of the insane would not be able to function properly.  The United States of America  require that there is always convincing evidence that someone is really dangerous to themselves and others. Most states allow the insane to be detained in a psychiatric facility prior to a commitment hearing. Parents still have a say on whether their child should be institutionalized or not, but they can no longer commit them once the child turns 18.

Changing Lives
A modern insanity asylum is a dedicated facility or it can be a sub-unit of a hospital and its role is to attend to the needs of serious mental disorders. A person considered insane will first be evaluated by a doctor before being admitted to an insanity asylum.  A multi-professional team made up of psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, pharmacists and nursing personnel are responsible for providing  acute psychiatry- and intensive rehabilitation services. Some of these hospitals specialize in short-term treatments but others specialize in the permanent care of people who are considered insane and who need to be housed in a controlled environment. There are emergency rooms in these units dealing with people with violent tendencies. Patients like these are graded, and those who are considered dangerous are considered as high security risk patients. If they are at risk of injuring- or even killing themselves, professional medical staff will be assigned to monitor them 24/7. The least dangerous patients are graded as low risk. Each of the different graded sections of an insane asylum have their own programs designed for their needs and those who are reaching their rehabilitation stage will have certain privileges.

Modern Asylums
An insanity asylum of the past has taken a bad rap, but today their therapy sessions can change the life of those with mental disorders; give them a new perspective on life and for the families, instead of fear, they can begin to enjoy a sense of peace.
